| What a beautiful day it is! The sun is shining. There is a
cool (for now) breeze. We made it through the storm. We had
just a bit of rain and alot of wind. Fairly gusty at times, but
overall I think we came out ok. My boys are out cleaning up the
yard right now. My girls (the doggers) are downstairs
playing. Me? I am going to bath the doggers and clean house
today. I sat on my butt all day yesterday watching news coverage
of the storm. We never even lost power. My mom lives about
2 miles away, and they were without power until late yesterday
evening. Have a great day!!

| Well, Hurricane Rita is making her presence known here. The wind
has really picked up the past hour. I really don't expect
flooding, just alot of rain and very high winds. I am going to be
off until Tuesday. Hopefully we won't lose our power. We
always do when it rains here in the country. Anyway, hope all is
well elsewhere.

| Well, we had a great weekend. We left on Friday with 5 other
couples and went to New Braunfels to the Comal River. Our condo
was right on the river. It took about 1 1/2 hours to float down
the river. As soon as we got off the river we would run like hell
to catch the next bus to take us back. We iced down some brew and
tied it to a tube and off we went. What a blast. Anyone who
hasn't done this needs to. It was so hot and the water was so
cold it would take your breath away. I'll be making plans to go
again next year. My advice to all is to make your reservations
early...like Jan. Feb. Tomorrow it's back to work......YUCK!!

| I was in Irving for training on Thursday and had planned on hanging out
with my best friend Jess. I was not feeling very well when I left
for training, and it really escalated upon arriving at the hotel.
Needless to say, I didn't get to see Jess  . I didn't get much sleep the night before my class so I just decided to come back home. Sorry Jess.
I am happy now because I found Mikey's vacationing site. We all
miss him so much! My favorite pic is the one where they are
sticking him with an IV and he is flashing his classic "don't
worry.....no problem" smile. Anyone who knows Mike.........
